Halloween Day! :)

We enjoyed a low country boil for Daddy's birthday, as well as some Fresh Market German Chocolate Cake.  Well, most everyone.  Abby dined on carrots and squash :)  We got some cute pics of her in her Halloween outfit and in a dress that my mom's grandmother made and apparently Conway women have been wearing for years.  Yes, it looks a bit like a doily, but it's tradition and my child looks adorable :)

and now in her Halloween outfit :)

Happy halloween!

Hope y'all enjoy the Halloween pics from the Sassers' party tonight.  We had a blast!!  Abby was the cutest (only) cow there.  We didn't get to stay too late though since we got there already after her bed time!!  She was a trooper and loved on everyone.  Tomorrow, we get to see Daddy (my daddy!) for his birthday and then we get to go to the Halloween Carnival/Festival at Golden Acres with Aunt Sonya.  We will definitely be wearing our Halloween costume again!!

Love y'all!

Abby Loves Frankie.

That's all.  Frankie said she was sad that I hadnt mentioned how much Ab loves her.  And it's true. She does.  She bounces like a fool and squeals when Frankie walks in, and cries and hollers when Frankie walks out.

Done with this half :)

A lot of info and a few pictures along the way :o)

I know it's been a long, long time since I wrote anything.  Things have been crazy.  We've been to sick land, vomit town, and cough city.  And that's just Abby!! :)  I also have an awesome video from Gram's house of Abby playing with a ball for the first time that I have to upload.  It's coming, I promise!!

Travel wise - we went to Mobile for a bit last weekend.  You probably saw the picture of Abby and Tim with the crocodile sign.  Of course, that was immediately before Tim puked in his mom's driveway.  I'm telling you - there has been so much sickness!!!  We had a great time though with Gram.  It had been a long time since she had seen Abby (and us).  We didnt get to go see Sally and Cheryl and Jeanie, but momma said they are coming here - so I can't wait for that :o)

Abby got so sick that she lost a pound.  I think we are finally back to normal.  I'm not sure if it was medicine related, reflux related, travel related, or just general pukiness.  It was just awful!!  She goes to see the neurosurgeon on November 3 to find out for sure about a helmet.  Her little (BIG) head has rounded out big time though, so I'm hoping we don't have to have one!!

As far as physical development goes, Abby is crawling everywhere...FAST.  She is pulling up on everything and pushing up on whatever she can.  She has taught her friend Karrington to crawl at daycare.  She bounces like she's dancing when she is near her daddy - of course.  Precious Daddy.  Tim and I just bought her a push behind toy that turns into a riding toy.  Tonight, for the first time, she pushed it and took 5 little steps behind it.  We were SO EXCITED.  She has decided that she HATES a bath.  She hates a bath in the tub.  She hates a bath in the sink.  She hates a bath with me.  She hates a shower.  But, she also hates to be dirty. Go figure :)  She also has a new game - when we are sitting in the living room watching tv while she plays...Tim and I pretend not to look at her.  She "boo's" at us (except hers is more of an "Ahhhhhh" but loud).  So then we turn our heads fast and say BOO! really loudly.  She dies laughing.  Everytime.  100 times a day.

As far as daycare goes, Abby still LOVES it.  They say she has a good day everyday.  I also found out that Abby doesnt always have to sleep in her crib at daycare.  Miss Liz sometimes lets her "rest" on her chest.  REALLY?  It's no wonder she's a brat at home!!  They spoil her rotten.  Of course, all that is probably going to change - there are TWO new babies coming in!!

We are also in the process of repainting the kitchen.  Pics to come soon :)

We went to the SGS/Wacoochee game the other night.  Slade took some adorable pics.  Enjoy!

Abby dirty face!!

Abby and Aidan.  She LOVES him.  She kept getting in his face and laughing.  He is playing with her pink bow!  He likes to wear it in his hair!!

Will we ever be healthy??

I don't know if we will EVER get healthy.  EVER.  Abby now has bronchitis and has been throwing up all day.  Don't know if it is from the formula we were trying out, the new antibiotic (Zithromax), or the stomach virus that I had yesterday and Tim has today.  (I should also mention that Tim threw his back out - in an effort to one-up me in the illness area).  She doesn't have fever though and for the most part feels ok.  After she (the first time) threw up all over Tim, I took her to her room and left her in the floor.  I ran to the washing machine to put the puke-y clothes in the wash, came back to see her making her naked way up the hall.  We sat and played in the hall for probably 30 minutes.  She LOVES to pull up on the wall, the couch, the fence, the chairs, ANYTHING.  She wants to be standing.

Anyhow, hopefully we will be well enough to go to daycare tomorrow, but that is to be determined at this point.  Poor Abs.  Poor Mommy.  Poor Daddy.  Regardless, we are back on Alimentum to stay.  I can't deal with the face rash, the fussiness, and the projectile vomit.

Tonight, while I was washing dishes, I heard Tim in the living room singing his version of Bon Jovi to Abby..."You were born to be my baby and baby I was made to be your dad..."  He is such a cheeseball.  To the point where he told me today that he loved coming home because she was the light of his life.  Bless him.  He's in BIG trouble.

When we went to see Brent (our fave PA at Rivertown) yesterday, we also went ahead and got the prescription for Abby's helmet.  I guess we will start looking into that hard and heavy on the 17th when she is 8 months old.  We are supposed to have a meeting with the PT on November 1.  We should have gone back to see Dr. Gorum (neurosurgeon) on November 3, but since Dr. Oliver/Brent gave us the RX for the helmet, then we shouldnt have to go ahead with that.

For those of you who havent seen Abby in awhile, she is *finally* getting some hair.  Well, everywhere except for the very back bless her heart.  When we were in WalMart today, Abby flirted with EVERYONE.  The poor lady in line at the deli counter was trying to order her meat and Abby was leaning out of our cart and screaming at her to get her attention.  She is SUCH an attention hog...but only when she wants to be.  She can also turn on stranger danger with a quickness.

I think that is about it for now.  Love y'all.

Alimentum...Again!

So....back on Alimentum!  We started having symptoms of a milk fail (rash, fussiness, waking up, etc).  All seperate is no big deal.  But mix them together...and yuck.  So, at this time, we will be taking donations for Alimentum and a helmet.  Please make checks payable to:  Mommy's Wine Fund.  Or, if you are more of a daddy's fan, make check's payable to the Tim Technology Fund.  Cash, check, credit card, or plasma.  We'll take whatever!

In other news, Abby has decided she doesnt like to crawl regular anymore.  Her right knee "regular" crawls and she brings her left leg around like she's trying to squat and pushes off.  She's soooo silly.  But she gets around. And fast.  She has started pulling up and pushing up more and more.  Tonight, she tried to do it in the bathtub.  I about freaked out!!  She also continues to be more and more obsessed with her Daddy.  Today when she woke up, I went in her room to get her.  We were talking and playing (she's soooo sweet when she first wakes up).  Tim walked in the room, she turned, leaned toward him, and said "dada."  Of course.  NOT mama.  DADA.  Whatev!!!

All I want for Christmas is...

a helmet...

We went to the Physical Therapist today.  Just when I thought we were out of the water as far as flat heads go, the PT told me that she would suggest a helmet.  Apparently Abby's measurements are off a bit - her head is considerably wider than it should be.  We go back November 1 to PT and November 3 to Dr. Gorum.  We'll know for sure then.  Big prayers!  In the meantime, Abby and I are going to go to Hanger in Columbus and get a free evaluation for a helmet.  Just to see where she stands for real.  And we are very, very lucky that our insurance covers it at all.  Several insurances, including the military insurance, does NOT cover it at all.  At 3000 a helmet, that's a big chunk of change!!

That's all the news that is the news.  Abby is crawling everywhere.  She is even pulling up on things - the bathtub, the couch, everything.  The PT was very impressed with her motor skills.  Now, if we could just get her to wave and do "TouchDown!" life would be great :)

Love!

Pumpkin Patch :o)

Today, Tim and I took Abby Reid to church and then to the Pumpkin Patch in Fortson Georgia.  She LOVED both.  Enjoy!!
I love my Daddy and can't wait to see the punkins!

I guess I'll pose with Mommy if I *have* to!

Oooooh - a bat!

Hayride

She loved playing in the hay - which is crazy because she is so prissy about textures!

Abby the Indian farmer

She rode in this wagon the whole time...well most of the time.  Toward the end, we were going downhill and I turned and she rolled across the whole thing.  Then she was sooo mad.

She loooooved touching all of the pumpkins.

Her "I'm going to eat you" face!

There were white pumpkins.  We learned about prejudice in church today, so we had to play with the white pumpkins and the orange ones.  Keep it equal.

In the grass at the end.
