Updates and Such

I know I've been terrible about posting actual words vs pictures!  It just seems like we have been GOING 24-7.  Abby Reid has fully embraced the terrible twos.  Just like everything else in her life, she gives it the full Abby treatment!  She will throw herself down on the ground with a quickness.  She hits, she (tries to) bites, she kicks, she screams...but she also hugs, loves, kisses, and wallers.  She is precious!

She is talking SO much and so well.  My favorite thing she does in her talking is the way she says "I don't want/like it: ____" and inserts whatever she's mad about.  For example, "I dont want it: go to bed" when she isnt in the mood to go to bed or "I don't want it: take a bath."  It's just so funny.  She loves to talk about going to see the animals - of all kinds.  She'll tell you she just saw a dolphin in all dat water - when you've just come out of the bathroom.  She loves to play on Mommy and Daddy's "hi-pad" and play with anything electronic.  She asks to go see Yaya and Rachel EVERY day when we leave her school.  She loves them so much.  Sometimes she will throw seeing Madison and George in there...or "Cint-ya" and "Tayden" (the Laneys) or "Sassy" (Cassidy), "JohnDaven" (John David), and "Livy" (Lilly) but mostly just Yaya and Rachel.

Tim was recently out of town - and Howie got sick the same day.  Abby was soooo sad getting up to no Daddy and no Howie.  It did not go well for Mandy!!

Abby is learning fun things - like her address, her birthday, and "other names."  She has learned mommy's other name, daddy's other name, Pop's other name, Fifi's other name, and Gram's other name.  She refuses to learn Nana's other name for some reason.  I guess she only associates "Candy" with something she eats.  She still loves her babies best of all.  She carries them, feeds them, changes their diapers, pushes in stroller, pushes them in shopping cart.  She is a FOOOOOOLLLL for her moose blanket (thanks Jeff & Frank).  She will go down the hallway crying for "my mew-se" and then wad it up in a ball and cuddle with it.  She still sleeps about half the nights in the floor or in her house.

She still loves her teachers at school - so much so that I am afraid to move away from Trista/Nessa.  She just finished a fundraiser for muscular dystrophy where she had to hop 100 times.  She still goes to Jump Bunch once a week - where they have recently done "field events" from track.  She plays basketball in the house EVERY night.  She will turn her head all the way to the side, look at Tim, and say "Daddy play basketball?  Ok?"  Almost every night they are home, they play basketball, blocks, babies, wrestling, tickles, or "bounce" (where she just jumps on him).  She LOVES to play with her daddy.

She has most recently decided that she and I shall be attached at the hip.  Wherever I go, she goes.  ALL THE TIME.  If I leave the room to go to the bathroom, she screams out, "Abby coming!" And then she follows.

Most recently, she served her first flower girl duty.  She was a HOT MESS.  We have some adorable pictures coming soon - bu this wild girl was HILARIOUS.  She ran past the ring bearers, threw her flowers up in the air, and then refused to move from the aisle.  She screamed out "bubbles" when it was time for objections.  Look out Mallory Shellhouse in September.  Hopefully she will mature some by then...yeah right!!!  She was beautiful though and Kristin was a GORGEOUS and gracious bride.  Love that family!!

She LOVES to dance and play outside best of all.  She hates shoes.  She always wants to be barefoot - unless her feet will get dirty.  She goes CRAZY over dirty feet.  She loves to cook for us each night.  She serves us soup (pronounced suwep) and chocolate milk.  Her favorite things to eat are "sammich" and "maca-noni."  Her best friend is mommy and her hero is Daddy.  Although, last weekend, she informed me that her best friend was Pop...I think because he let her play in his boat and mess up his depth finder (do we need to replace it Pop?).  She still won't watch much tv unless it's early morning and/or late at night.  And really only Sprout.  She did enjoy Rio Tim claimed.  Her fave books are still the Llama book and Aubie tiger.  We read both before bed, then we pray (Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep).  She has it memorized - but only the first verse - hearing my 2 year old say "If I die before I wake" was too much for me, so I vetoed that part.  We also bless everyone.  Some of y'all get blessed every night (like Sonya's momma who's battling cancer - she always blesses Miss "Honnie.").  Some of y'all get blessed when she feels like it.

We are planning to go to visit Gram very soon and can't wait to get to Bham and see Moni, E-ric, Maeghan and Morghan.  I bought Tim tickets to see Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan for Valentine's Day - so Abby gets to spend the whole day (and night!!) with Fifi tomorrow.  Please pray for everyone involved.

I think that's about it.  Thanks for reading about our sweet Abby Reid.  I love that little girl!

Abby Reid and Lilly dancing

These girls LOVE to dance!!!  Every Friday night in the spring and early summer, downtown Columbus has a band. We've pretty much been every weekend and that's Abby and her friend Lilly breaking it down!
